Martellus Bennett: Patriots’ Tom Brady ‘easier to play with’ than Packers’ Aaron Rodgers Though Martellus Bennett has retired from the NFL Aaron Jones Jersey , he continues to evoke his short-lived stint with the Green Bay Packers rather than let it fade into the background. In an interview with Fox Sports Radio’s Doug Gottlieb, the former tight end drew a significant distinction between the quarterback he played with in Green Bay and the one who tossed him passes with the New England Patriots.“I think that no one has more arm talent than Aaron [Rodgers],” Bennett said during the radio interview. “Aaron can pretty much do anything with the ball. I feel Tom Brady is precise, easier to play with. It was easier to play with Tom than anybody else.Bennett explained further what separated Brady from others at the position.“[Tom Brady] makes the game easy, what he expects, where he wants you to be, where he’s putting the ball, he does so many repetitions with you, mental reps, physical reps, walkthrough, he’s always letting you know.”Bennett certainly has worked with his fair share of share of signal-callers. He spent the first four years of his career catching passes from Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo before stints playing with the New York Giants and Eli Manning Lane Taylor Jersey , the Chicago Bears and Jay Cutler, and finally Brady and Rodgers during his final two seasons. Given that much experience, Bennett certainly seems capable of drawing a fair comparison among the QBs.Still, Bennett has come across as an unreliable narrator in the past, criticizing Packers team physician Dr. Pat McKenzie for allegedly pressuring him to play through a shoulder injury. That claim garnered significant blow back from Bennett’s former Green Bay teammates who leaped to the defense of McKenzie, highlighting the physician’s conservative approach to medical clearances. The Packers subsequently filed a grievance against Bennett, alleging the tight end failed to disclose an injury. So while Bennett didn’t become the first pass catcher to criticize the Packers’ franchise quarterback, those factors complicate his objectivity on the matter.Packers Wednesday Injury Report: Adams misses practice with shoulder issue The Green Bay Packers have not one but two star players on offense with injuries this week. All of the attention this week has been on quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who returned to last Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears after suffering a knee injury. Rodgers of course helped lead the team on a comeback from a 20-0 deficit, throwing three touchdown passes in the fourth quarter for a 24-23 victory. The second of those touchdowns went to wide receiver Davante Adams, who had a 51-yard reception that set up his scoring play. On Wednesday, Adams joined Rodgers in missing practice Blake Martinez Jersey , and he told reporters that he took a hard hit on his shoulder when being tackled on that long catch:Rodgers’ practice status on Wednesday — he was listed as a non-participant on the official report — comes as no surprise. After all, head coach Mike McCarthy told the media before practice that Rodgers would be working with the rehab group. But Adams’ absence is a bit unexpected.Hopefully, as Adams suggests, his absence is merely a precaution to help ensure he is fully ready for Sunday’s week two tilt with the Minnesota Vikings. Still, keep a close eye on the practice report on Thursday and the game status updates on Friday (and possibly Saturday) to see where Adams falls on those reports. As for Rodgers, all signs still point to him playing. Perhaps the most obvious sign is that he was asked if he would give any advice to backup quarterback DeShone Kizer if #12 did indeed had to miss the game; Rodgers responded by saying that he “hadn’t thought about it.” In other words, expect Rodgers to suit up unless something unexpected happens in the next few days.Packers Wednesday Practice ReportDid Not Participate: WR Davante Adams (shoulder), S Josh Jones (ankle), QB Aaron Rodgers (knee)Limited Participation: ILB Oren Burks (shoulder)Vikings Wednesday Practice ReportLimited Participation: C Pat Elflein (ankle/shoulder)Full Participation: CB Mackensie Alexander (ankle), RB Roc Thomas (ankle), CB Trae Waynes (ankle)
