Titans roster moves: Tye Smith to IR; Sign Johnny Maxey and Du’Vonta Lampkin The Titans have made some roster moves on their off day. Tye Smith was placed on IR after apparently suffering an injury in practice at some point. I completely missed that one. Smith is a solid back-up guy who played well in his chances last season. This is a blow to a position where the Titans have some pretty good depth. They also waived (with injury) Claude Pelon who they had signed last week.The Titans added DL Johnny Maxey who spent time on the Titans practice squad in 2017. They also added DL Du’Vonta Lampkin who has a fantastic name. Lampkin played at Oklahoma and declared for the NFL Draft after his red-shirt sophomore year probably because of academic issues. He went undrafted and was signed by the Baltimore Ravens. They waived him after mini-camp.So this is a 2 for 2 swap Steve McNair Jersey , meaning the Titans lost 2 from the 90-man roster and added 2. By my count the Titans are still at 88 players currently in camp. Julian Edelman left early for the locker room after injuring his ankle, but he did return to the sideline before the end to witness the ugliness.
