Seattle then went hurry-up offensively and the 49ers were caught offsides as Warner tried to exit the field and a replacement was late making the substitution.“It wasn’t a smart thing by me and something I can’t do,” Shanahan told reporters Monday.Fines of $26,739 for unnecessary roughness were levied against Dallas’ Jaylon Smith (helmet-to-helmet hit) and Jatavis Brown of the Chargers.Receiving $20,054 fines were Ndamukong Suh of the Rams for a horse collar tackle, the Lions’ Ezekiel Ansah for an illegal hit on the quarterback, Za’Darius Smith of the Ravens for roughing the passer and Bears quarterback Chase Daniel for a horse collar tackle on an interception.Three players received $13,369 fines for unsportsmanlike conduct: Kansas City’s Eric Murray C. J. Beathard Jersey White , Oakland’s Jared Cook and Atlanta’s Vic Beasley Jr., for dunking the football over the crossbar.Malcolm Smith of San Francisco was fined $10,026 for unnecessary roughness. Two Jacksonville Jaguars players, C.J. Reavis (unnecessary roughness) and Ronnie Harrison (taunting) also were fined that amount. The San Francisco 49ers host the New York Giants on Monday as a three-point favorite. The line opened at a field goal, and really has not changed all that much at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. You can find 3.5 points in quite a few sportsbooks, but I can pick them at three points in the SuperContest.I’m still trying to figure out my pick, but I wanted to open the floor to see what people think about this matchup. I spoke with Ed Valentine over at Big Blue View, and “depressed Giants fan” might be the best description.In my initial prediction for the game, I told Ed that I could see this being something like 23-20. I’d love to see the 49ers smoke the Giants, but Nick Mullens is such a huge x-fact. The Giants are a bad team, but can Mullens build on his impressive performance against Oakland? I don’t know if anybody can say yes with real confidence.In our weekly FanPulse survey, 49ers fans predicted a six-point win and Giants fans predicted a two-point loss. How do you see it shaking out? I’ve included a poll below based on the spread. I was going to combine “lose” with “49ers win by less than 3” to create a “not cover the spread” option. Instead, I separated them out so they are effectively, cover the spread, push, do not cover the spread but win, and lose outright.
