And he’s got at least one more year left. The Eagles have announced that running back Darren Sproles has signed a one-year contract to return to the team.Originally a draft pick of the Chargers fourteen years ago http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-derwin-james-jersey , Sproles already has spent five years in Philadelphia. He missed most of the 2017 season with a torn ACL, and he appeared in only six games last season, along with both postseason games. The 36-year-old tailback has 3,486 career rushing yards, 4,816 receiving yards, 8,352 kick-return yards, and 2 Womens Antonio Gates Jersey ,875 punt-return yards. That’s 19,529 career all-purpose yards, sixth on the all-time list. He’s less than 200 yards from passing Hall of Famer Tim Brown for fifth place.Sproles entered the NFL a season before Reggie Bush, and in some respects Sproles quietly became the player that many expected Bush to be. Bush last played in 2016, finishing at 154th on the all-time all-purpose yardage list with 10,001.Of course, there’s no guarantee Sproles will make the roster in Philly. The Eagles have a crowded house at tailback, and Sproles (if he makes the final 53) possibly will at best be a role player. That’s right, just when you thought it was safe to go back on the internet..."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections San Diego Chargers Daily LinksSan Diego Chargers NewsSan Diego Chargers OffseasonSan Diego Chargers HistorySan Diego Chargers HumorThe Chargers Rank #5 on ESPN’s Way-Too-Early 2019 Power RankingsNew Denzel Perryman Jersey ,14commentsThat’s right, just when you thought it was safe to go back on the internet...PSTShareTweetShareShareThe Chargers Rank #5 on ESPN’s Way-Too-Early 2019 Power RankingsDid you hear? The Super Bowl was on Sunday and the 2018 season is officially over now!No, really! This is true— that means that we can go all-guns-blazing into 2019 without any unanswered questions about the Bolts or their chances.Well, then again.. I suppose that there are a few possible unanswered questions. Perhaps there’s room for discussion, after all.And here, with the NFL’s goal to keep the news (and opinions) flowing 24/7/365, ESPN is the first outlet out of the gate to release their totally binding POWER RANKINGS for 2019. Okay, folks, I have long said that Power Rankings are admittedly silly http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-craig-mager-jersey , but not pointless endeavors. They fairly accurately show a team’s respect and envisioned potential in a numerical system that allows for quick comparison and contrast. If we were to map the Chargers’ ranking through 2018, we would see it mirror fairly closely the Bolts’ performance throughout the season. ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Power Rankings1. Los Angeles Rams2. Kansas City Chiefs3. New Orleans Saints4. New England Patriots5. Los Angeles Chargers6. Chicago Bears7. Indianapolis Colts8. Seattle Seahawks9. Houston Texans10. Baltimore RavensThat’s a fair analysis. The placement is also fairly accurate to how the Chargers ended their 2018 campaign. My own list would have the Rams trading places with the Bears and the Eagles are definitely top 10 material (sorry Ravens and Texans, you were flash-in-the-pan in 2018). But this isn’t my list, this is ESPN’s, and they’ve done a pretty good job putting it together. As I said before, the best use for these is comparison and contrast. Without out a similar All-Too-Early list from an equally reputable media outlet to compare with, let’s rewind to their pre-season take right after the 2017/18 Super Bowl:2018With the comparison of these two numbers, we can see that the Chargers are now being seen and respected as a Lombardi trophy candidate in the coming season.-Jason “THERE ARE FIVE LIGHTS” Michaels
