Doug Marrone believes his messages to his players are not resonating. The Jaguars
Womens Fletcher Cox Jersey , who reached the AFC Championship game last season, lost their fourth consecutive game, falling 24-18 to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Jacksonville dropped to 3-5 and failed to benefit from playing in England at their home away from home, Wembley Stadium. The upcoming bye week should provide everyone with an opportunity to do some soul searching 鈥?Marrone included."First, I'm going to look at myself," said Marrone, who was hired first as the interim coach following the firing of Gus Bradley in 2016, then as the full-time replacement the following offseason. "Obviously, I'm not getting the job done at the end of the day, so it starts with me. I've got to take a good look at it. (The bye) comes at a good time because I'll be able to see what I'm doing wrong because, obviously I'm doing something wrong."The Jaguars have been hit hard by injuries this season, including one to running back Leonard Fournette. And, inconsistent play from quarterback Blake Bortles 鈥?including a brief benching on Oct. 21 in a loss to the Houston Texans 鈥?has not helped.Jacksonville's biggest strength last season, though, was its defense, and the unit remains statistically strong, entering the defeat on Sunday ranked second in the league after allowing just 301.6 yards per game.Although Marrone said he believes he can turn the team around, he does need to find a way to get the players to buy in as they did last season."Really, it takes everybody," he said. "You can point everyone in the right direction, get everyone together
http://www.philadelphiaeaglesteamonlines.com/jason-peters-jersey , and if everyone is pulling in that direction and doing what they're supposed to do, doing their job, then yeah, you turn it around."But if you don't, then you sit back and make excuses and point fingers or get out of your role or things of that nature, then you can't, and that's my job 鈥?to pull everyone on the same thing. Obviously, I haven't been doing that well for the last four games."Bortles, asked about Marrone's introspection, said the losing streak is more on the players than the coaches."We expect to do the same things (as last season)," Bortles said. "We expect to win every time we step on the field and it hasn't happened. That's on us as players to continue to try to go out there and make plays. We've got to execute."Here's what else we learned in the Jaguars-Eagles game:A FRESH FACEEagles running back Josh Adams, an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame, had team and career highs of nine carries for 61 yards 鈥?44 of which were gained after halftime. He had a 21-yard carry on second-and-6 early in the third quarter and a 17-yard carry early in the fourth quarter."My hope going into it was to take advantage of every opportunity that I got and try to bring it to them," Adams said. "You never know what can happen when you're out there, so try to take advantage of that time."Adams' most obvious blemish was an apparent fumble with 6:52 remaining, though officials ruled he was down before letting go of the ball after a video review."We just felt comfortable with Josh," Eagles coach Doug Pederson said. "(Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement) play a lot of special teams, (so it was) keeping everybody fresh and rotated."HYDE AND SEEKCarlos Hyde made his debut for the Jaguars after a trade from the Cleveland Browns, and he finished with just 11 yards on six carries. T.J. Yeldon had season lows of two carries and seven yards, but he did catch seven passes for 83 yards. The Jaguars have yet to have anyone run for more than 58 yards in a game this season, and their leading rusher in the loss to the Eagles was Bortles
Authentic Destiny Vaeao Jersey , who gained 43 yards on eight carries."I think that starts a lot with how we do in practice and what we do (in terms of) getting some continuity there," Marrone said. "Right now, we're not doing anything well, so it's time to go back, hopefully get some guys back that have been injured and take it from there."Fournette, who ran for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns last season as a rookie, has played just twice, and not since Sept. 30, because of a hamstring injury."I thought the guys did a good job up front," Bortles said. "Obviously, we got down, so you're going to throw it a little more there ... but I thought what we were doing was fine. We've just got to make plays."TACKLE TROUBLE?Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson left the game after he injured his left knee on the opening possession and was replaced by Halapoulivaati Vaitai, who made 10 starts last season.Johnson was trying to make a tackle on Jaguars weakside linebacker Telvin Smith after he intercepted Carson Wentz and needed assistance to come off the field.Pederson said he had not spoken to the Eagles' medical staff about Johnson, who has been playing through a sprained ankle for the past month.Eagles vs. Colts: 8 winners and 5 losers The Eagles beat the Colts on Sunday, 20-16. It sure wasn’t pretty but they got the job done, which is the most important thing. Now let’s take a look at the biggest winners and losers from this game.WINNERSCARSON WENTZWentz didn’t post an amazing stat line; he finished 25/37 for 255 yards, one touchdown, one real bad interception, and a 84.9 passer rating. He also got strip-sacked to allow the Colts to recover in the red zone. But overall, this was an encouraging performance from Wentz in his first game back from injury. He showed no physical limitations. Jsut the opposite
http://www.philadelphiaeaglesteamonlines.com/jordan-hicks-jersey , really. He looked great moving around out there. The combination of his strength and mobility really came in handy on that clutch 3rd-and-9 conversion to Nelson Agholor late in the game. Wentz is going to get better as he continues to ease back into the offense and the Eagles aren’t missing their top two running backs and three of their top four wide receivers. I’m sure of it.DEREK BARNETTIt’s been a quiet start to the season for the Eagles’ 2017 first-round pick but Barnett showed up HUGE today with a clutch fourth down sack on Andrew Luck late in the game. Great to see. It wasn’t just that play, either. Barnett was also a force against the run. He finished the day with five tackles, two tackles for loss, two quarterback hits, and 1.5 sacks. Very encouraging. THE DEFENSEJim Schwartz’s unit held the Colts to just 209 yards overall and 3.7 on a per play basis. The Eagles didn’t force an interception or fumble but they did keep Indy to just three conversions on 24 combined third and fourth down attempts. The Colts finished just 1-of-5 in the red zone. Nice to see this unit bounce back after a rough outing against the Buccaneers in Week 2.DALLAS GOEDERTWho could’ve guessed good things would happen by getting Goedert more involved? After failing to register a single target last week, Goedert finished with seven targets today. He caught all seven of the passes thrown his way for 73 yards and one touchdown. Continue to get this man involved, Eagles. JASON PETERSAfter having to leave last week’s Eagles-Bucs matchup early, Peters managed to play the entire game today. He still looks pretty good. Peters opened a number of holes in the run game and seemingly did a good job of not allowing pressure from his side. The offensive line as a whole deserves credit for their run blocking in this one. Which brings me to ...THE RUNNING BACKSThe trio of Corey Clement, Wendell Smallwood, and Josh Adams combined for one touchdown and 196 yards from scrimmage. That’s 51.7% of Philadelphia’s entire offensive yardage. Good to get that kind of production out of your third, fourth, and fifth string running backs. The only thing I’ll say is that it was frustrating to watch Smallwood leave yards on the field. There were some moments where a big hole would open up and he’d only managed to get a four-yard gain. That’s why the Eagles need Jay Ajayi and Darren Sproles back. JALEN MILLSI imagine there’s going to be some “Jalen Mills in the winners section?!” outrage after reading this. But yes, I’m including Mills in the winners. He did allow 51 yards on two pass interference penalties, which certainly isn’t good, although those calls were questionable to some extent. But you can’t just rip Mills for those plays and not give him credit for the big pass breakup he had on an Andrew Luck throw to Eric Ebron in the red zone. He had another pass breakup in this game and he also made some really nice open field tackles on screen plays (one counted as a tackle for loss). Hardly a perfect game but I felt like I had to include him in one of these two categories and I think there was more good than bad. EAGLES FANSKudos to the fans for sticking it out in the rain and cheering their team on to a 17-3 home record since the beginning of the 2016 season. Best home record in the league during that stretch.LOSERSCOREY CLEMENT AS A PUNT RETURNEROn his first punt return attempt, Clement made a poor decision to field the ball with a player bearing down on him. Then he muffed two other returns. He was very lucky the Colts didn’t recover one of those. The Eagles need to get someone more sure-handed on returns. JOSHUA PERKINSThe Eagles inexplicably targeted him three times on the first drive. He finished with one reception for 10 yards and a drop. That’s three drops within the last two games. SHELTON GIBSON AND EAGLES WIDE RECEIVERS AS A GROUPGibson had a very productive summer but he’s failing to get on the field despite the fact the Eagles are without three of their top four wide receivers. Philadelphia desperately needs someone who can stretch the field and Gibson has that ability. But the coaching staff clearly doesn’t trust him to play. Disappointing.Eagles wide receivers combined for 45 yards on 6 receptions. Nelson Agholor had a few clutch first down conversions in there, so it wasn’t like they gave this team nothing. But it’s clear how badly this team needs Alshon Jeffery back. It sounds like he might be able to return next Sunday. BENJAMIN SOLAKBGN’s own Ben Solak once wrote: “Derek Barnett is literally never going to make a single big play in his entire career.” OK, so he didn’t actually write that. I’m just poking fun at Ben being a Barnett skeptic. THE MINNESOTA VIKINGSThe Vikings have nothing to do with this game but I couldn’t not point out that Minnesota lost AT HOME to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. The Vikings were 17-point favorites and they lost by a final score of 27 to 6! Lolololololol. You vike that?
