Obviously if everyone is in the box and dedicated to stopping the run it leaves your cornerbacks on islands - and that proved to be a major issue for the Rams (particularly Marcus Peters). Woods’ route running ability was leaving defensive backs in a daze all game. On this route, Woods begins to run a variation of a slant going outside off the line of scrimmage and making a hard stick at the top of his cut.
